GSA Sponsor Summit & Training

Saturday, September 16th, 2017   9am - noon
hosted by The LGBT Life Center 
The GSA Sponsor Training & Summit hosted by the LGBT Life Center and presented by PRISM Youth Community in collaboration with PFLAG Hampton Roads welcomes ALL current and prospective GSA/LGBT+ Student Group Sponsors. Newbies and Veterans alike are invited to join us for a day of great information, fun, and collaboration!

GSA Student Leadership Academy 

Sunday, October 15th, 2017     2-5pm
Hosted by PFLAG Hampton Roads

Gay Straight Alliance or Gender/Sexuality Alliance GSA Leaders or high school students who want to start a GSA at their school - -this workshop is for you!! Connect with other GSA leaders and share or develop ideas for the school year!

Donate to PRISM Youth

Support Local LGBTQ Youth
All funds raised will help provide safe activities and resources for local LGBTQ+ youth, provide assistance to local GSA programs and help support and promote local equality campaigns. We are also in the process of developing professional development and training programs for schools, employers and other community groups to help foster acceptance and inclusion of the LGBT+ community in these spaces. Within the next 2 years, our goal is to secure a location on the Peninsula that will provide a safe space for kids to be themselves, host support meetings and activities and assist teens in finding family, community and legal resources. 

GSA Summer Activities

Keeping GSA members connected 
Keeping GSA members and other LGBT+ youth connected to their support community during the summer months is crucial in helping combat the isolation some teens can feel when separated from their peers over the break.

PRISM's Summer Activities Program strives to provide these opportunities for teens to have fun, socialize and stay connected. Your support can help provide these opportunities and ensure that all interested are able to participate, regardless of financial ability. Please consider making a donation using the link above.
